Women’s Ministry

The Park Hills Women’s Ministry desires to lead all women into a vibrant relationship with Christ. We want women to connect the gospel to their lives so that Christ becomes central to who they are and what they do. There is nothing more glorifying to God than  women in the body of Christ coming together committed to love, serve, and mature for the cause of Christ.

Proverbs 31:30 “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”

We live in a postmodern age where authority is abhorred and truth is relative. We want God to renew our minds and mold our hearts so that we will think Biblically, not culturally.

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Vision: Park Hills Women’s Ministry exists for the purpose of promoting the unity of all Park Hill’s women, growing in the grace and knowledge of Lord Jesus Christ, and exemplifying biblical womanhood all for the Glory of God.

Our prayer is that the Vision would be met through doing the following together…

  1. Bible Study and Application
  2. Prayer
  3. Serving
  4. Fellowship

We are committed to the Titus 2 mandate. We encourage the older women to be examples and teachers of the younger women. This happens by establishing godly mentoring relationships that will encourage and equip all of us to live for the glory of God.

Let us get to know you!

Current Events

  1. Women’s Bible Study: Meets every other Tuesday, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm beginning September 5th. Join us in person at Park Hills or on Zoom. For more information or to join, contact Susan Horton, 512-297-7471.
  2. Mentoring: Women’s Ministry’s Mentoring is based on Titus 2. Titus 2:3-5 is not simply a suggestion, but a Biblical mandate. We desire that these godly mentoring relationships would be established among all women at Park Hills. We believe these relationships will teach and equip women to live for God’s glory and increase their love for the church body. Titus 2 mentoring will be helpful in connecting older, experienced women with younger women who want to learn more of what it means to be a godly woman. May God raise up women at Park Hills who desire to nurture and be nurtured. If you’re interested in Titus 2 mentoring, please read Spiritual Mothering. Please contact Alexandria Tompkins for next steps in this area.
